Ease of Movement: Dance for Pain Management

This AI-PAMI Patient & Caregiver Presentation is a collaboration with Arts for the Aging, entitled ‘Ease of Movement: Dance for Pain Management.’ Dr. Meg Chang, a lifelong dancer, instructor and creative arts therapist, shares information about the researched connection between movement and dance and their effect on pain. She describes how breathing exercises and conscious creative movement can be used as a positive coping tool. Teaching artist Deborah Riley then instructs viewers through guided movement demonstrations to get all bodies moving and finding joy! *Note: the video includes slow instruction and modifications for those with low mobility*
